Challenge
The State Power Corporation required a 50 MW ground-mounted solar power plant on 200 acres of arid land in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, with grid integration, single-axis tracking systems, and a 10-month delivery window to meet power purchase agreement (PPA) deadlines. The remote desert location posed logistical challenges for material transport and worker accommodation.
Solution
We established a temporary construction camp near the project site with accommodation for 500 workers and set up a dedicated material staging area to manage logistics. Engineering designed the mounting structures and tracking systems to withstand Rajasthan's high wind speeds and sand abrasion. We procured 150,000 solar panels, 100 string inverters, and 25,000 mounting structures through our vendor network, optimizing delivery schedules to match installation sequences.
