Challenge
A major food and beverage corporation needed a 180,000 sq ft multi-temperature cold storage facility in IMT Manesar that could maintain zones from -25°C to +5°C, comply with ISO 22000 and HACCP standards, and be operational within 14 months to meet seasonal supply chain demands.
Solution
Our team designed a compartmentalized facility with independent temperature zones, each with dedicated ammonia-based refrigeration systems and backup units. We used high-density PUF insulation panels rated for extreme temperatures and installed a SCADA-based monitoring system for real-time tracking across all zones. The construction sequenced civil work and refrigeration procurement in parallel to compress the timeline.
Results
Delivered the fully certified facility in 14 months with ISO 22000 and HACCP compliance achieved on first audit. The multi-zone design serves over 200 SKUs across four temperature ranges. The ammonia refrigeration system with backup achieved 99.97% uptime in its first year of operation, with 380 workers managed safely through completion.
